The Institut Européen des Jardins & Paysages (European Institute of Gardens and Landscapes) was established in 2013 with the support of the Calvados Department Council, the Foundation for the Parks and Gardens of France, Maison de la Rechecheen Sciences Humaines / University of Caen Normandy, and the Ministry of Culture. Its activities include organizing lectures and conferences in France and in Europe, as well identifying, collecting, digitizing, and enhancing materials for archives related to gardens and landscapes in Europe.
